Continental Prime™ certified engines are not only extremely competitively priced; they also bring multiple advantages that will directly benefit your operation and bottom line. Major manufacturers, e.g. Hartzell Propeller Inc., Sensenich Propellers, and McCauley Propeller have certified propellers approved for use with the Continental Prime™ certified IO-370 engines. Additional advantages include an exceptional engine warranty and many optional upgrades, ensuring that you have everything you need to succeed at the best value.

With a power output ranging from 180 to 195 HP, and the backing of our global factory support, you will enjoy performance and reliability levels only available with Prime™ engines. These engines are designed specifically for high utilization, ideal for flight schools or fleet operators, and are equally as great for true aviators that value liberty and choice.

Prime™ engines are available in various configurations to fit your mission. The Prime™ IO-370-DA3A2B engine is a drop-in replacement that does not require modifications to the existing Cessna 172 airframe application. Changing your current engine to a Prime™ is as simple as a routine engine exchange. However, some Prime™ engine configurations require STC modifications to achieve increased horsepower and performance.

These engines are designed specifically for high utilization, ideal for flight schools or fleet operators, and are equally as great for true aviators that value liberty and choice.
